Media Kit for Bloggers and Social Media Professionals

Media kits are something that most bloggers wonder if they need. I recently found a company that provides pre-made media kits at a very reasonable price and with a very quick turn around. I was very happy with the service and now I have a professional looking media kit.

A few weeks ago I attended my first social media conference, Bloggy Bootcamp. It was an amazing, affordable, one day conference that has totally changed the way I am blogging. If Bloggy Bootcamp comes your way and you are involved in social media, or even just want to become involved — go! As part of preparing to go to the conference, I knew I needed to bring business cards for certain. I also wanted to put together a media kit to have in my back pocket, just in case.

I started to make my own media kit several times, but I’m not a graphic designer so it was just taking way too much time. I have several half-finished versions just waiting for completion when I have time. I was pretty sure I needed to outsource my media kit so I when WOMinfo asked me if they could give me a media kit to review (and one to giveaway!), I was happy to say yes. After months of trying to finish the media kit on my own, I literally had one in a matter of hours thanks to WOMinfo!

WOMinfo offers two options for your media kit. The first option is a fillable pre-made template that is edited using Photoshop. Since I don’t have Photoshop, I chose the second option which was to have WOMinfo fill in the media kit for me. Having the media kit filled out for me was easy and quick. I filled out the form and WOMinfo sent me the kit a few hours later. I did have some changes I wanted to make in font size, alignment, and wording. Those changes were made quickly and I was done. I had a media kit!

I ended up not needing my media kit at Bloggy Bootcamp, but I am glad that I now have one ready to go.
