Are you ready for another week of Iron Chef Mom? This week's secret ingredient is NUTELLA!  I made Nutella Hamantashcen, triangular cookies usually made for the Jewish celebration of Purim.  I think, though, that these little gems are a delightful treat any time of year.  Hamantaschen can be filled with whatever you can imagine, but I chose Nutella for ease and, of course, pure deliciousness! Purim, the Jewish holiday commemorating  Queen Esther's saving the Jews from Haman's evil plots to destroy them.  Hamantaschen are little triangular cookies  made with a shortbread type of cookie dough and filled with all sorts of delicious fillings.  They are traditionally filled with fruit jams, prunes or poppy seeds, but I wanted to use Nutella because it sounded good and was easy. This week's secret ingredient is COCONUT!  I don't cook much with coconut because my kids refuse to eat it, but I do use a lot of coconut oil and coconut milk. One my favorite ice cream toppings ever - hard chocolate sauce -   is made with coconut oil. I have several curry recipes that require coconut milk, like this chicken curry kebab recipe.
