Have a Safe Halloween with Stride Rite Shoes

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Stride Rite. I received products to facilitate my review and thank me for my participation.

Can you believe Halloween is only a week away?  We’ve already been to a few fall fairs and Halloween events!  I had planned to make my kids costumes this year, but this early celebrating caught me off guard so I only managed to get one made.  My son wanted to be Captain America and I was happy to find a cheap Captain America costume for him.

safe Halloween

In case you didn’t know, Captain America wears bright red boots and my son was insistent that he needed those boots to complete his outfit.  I was contemplating some kind of felt shoe covers when Stride Rite’s Captain America shoes arrived at our door.  The red boots were quickly forgotten.

Stride Rite’s Captain America shoes have been a hit with both my son and I.  He has pretty much worn them every day since they arrived.  Since I won’t let him wear his costume everywhere, the shoes have been a great compromise. I love how sturdy the shoes are. Trick or treating can get a little crazy with the kids running from house to house and we’ve had more than one kid do a face plant.  I learned my lesson early on – no masks and sturdy shoes are a must for a safe Halloween.   Plus the  stars on the shoes have flashing lights that will help me keep track of him in the dark.  My son loves to pretend to be Captain America while wearing the shoes, which is super adorable.

Stride Rite shoes are getting in the Halloween spirit with fun themed shoes! They are offering themed shoes around some of the season’s hottest costumes like Spider-Man, Captain America, Star Wars, Disney Princess and Minnie Mouse, and with a breadth of brands including Stride Rite, Sperry Top-Sider, Keds, Saucony and Jessica Simpson, Stride Rite has the shoe to complement any costume.  Plus your child can continue to wear their shoes once Halloween is over, which is more than I can say about the costumes.

How neat that Stride Rite had shoes to match his costume! Trick or treating means a LOT of walking for little feet so good shoes are important.
