I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Influence Central for Panasonic. I received product samples as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

Everyone back to school? We’ve actually been in school for a month already. Crazy, I know! I wasn’t quite ready to let go of summer, but I’m going to be one happy mama when we are done with school at the end of May.  While I wasn’t quite ready for the alarm clock to start going off again, I think the whole family was ready for a little routine.

First Day of School 2015

My kids start school at 7:25 AM.  Yup. It’s early.  We attend a classical education charter school so I drive my kids and with carpooling, we leave our house before 7 AM.  It was a bit of a trick trying to get back to school photos while trying to keep my kids quiet so we didn’t wake up the neighbors! It was a crazy day but I didn’t want to miss out on getting a few snapshots of the first day of 1st and 3rd grade.

1st Day of School

I snapped our back to school shots with my Panasonic Lumix.  It took such great shots of two squirmy kids in early morning light.  My son is in that phase where he thinks taking posed shots is just stupid so I have to sneak in photos when he isn’t paying attention.  Thankfully the Lumix has awesome 4K technology so I can choose “that moment” from 4K Ultra HD Video taken at up to 30 breathtaking frames-per-second, and extract it as an 8-megapixel still image.

One of my favorite features of the Lumix is the built in WiFi. I took tall these photos on the camera and then connected my phone via the camera’s own WiFi. I was able to upload the pictures and share them with family and friends on social media in just a few seconds.  I love this feature!

School Jitters

If your kids are like my son, then grabbing that awesome shot to capture the memory can be pretty frustrating. The kid would not get his hands out of his face! But I loved that I captured these moments when his sister moved in to coax him to give me a smile.

And then I got this beauty! This was such a touching moment to capture and it’s one of my favorite photos I’ve taken of the two of them together.  Hopefully our school year will be as successful as our #4KPhoto  #4KFun first day of school photo session!
