HTC-One-Max-White

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Sprint. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and to thank me for participating. In case you haven't noticed, I'm kind of a tech gadget geek.  I love to get my hands on the newest tech gadget as soon as I can and play with it.  I'm always open to new gadgets, new phones, new systems - anything to make life easier and more fun.  So I'm super excited to announce that I'm now a Sprint Ambassador!  For the next year Sprint will be sending me their newest gadgets and phones to test out and share information about them with you.  I'm beyond thrilled! Like most of you, I'm always looking for the best cell plan for my family.  Last year my husband and I joined Sprint and we were paying a pretty typical cell phone bill for two cell phones with data plans.  I kept seeing the commercials about the Sprint Framily Plan and finally last week I went in to my favorite Sprint store to check it out.  And ... Easy Guacamole Recipe

Guacamole

Guacamole is quick and easy to make with avocado, lemon or lime, cilantro, garlic and salt. I have always loved avocados but in the last few months, they have become a staple on our menu.  I eat them pretty much every chance I get.  I also really love guacamole, but the recipe I was using was complicated and called for a list of ingredients, including sour cream.  I knew there had to be a simpler way. So I asked my resident Mexican food expert, Jacqui, how she makes guacamole.  She told me avocado, lime, and cilantro plus salt and garlic if I wanted.  Well, that sounded easy enough.  Except I only had lemons on hand and no cilantro. Then I discovered freeze dried cilantro at the grocery store and it has changed my life.  Now I can make all those Mexican recipes I love but never make because I never have fresh cilantro.  I love this stuff! The first dozen times I made this guacamole, I just used a fork and mashed it all together.  But then I realized that my ... [read more]

Duck Tape

This post brought to you by Duck Brand. All opinions are 100% mine. Turn a pool noodle in to a festive spring wreath with Duck Tape! I love to have a nice wreath hanging on our front very tall front door.  I like to swtich them out by the season or holiday, but there is quite a gap between the Easter egg wreath and the 4th of July wreath.  I was in need of a bright wreath for spring!  I prefer to make my own wreaths and decided to make one with a dollar store pool noodle and some festive spring Duck Tape®. Duck Tape® has a lot of fun colors and prints for spring. I love the  glitter tape, but I thought it might be a bit much all the way around the wreath.  So I opted to go with white tape to start with. Start by taping together the ends of the pool noodle. Make sure they are securely taped together so they don't come apart. Next, continue around the entire circumference of the pool noodle circle. Don't break the tape, just keep wrapping it around at a ... [read more]

shaving cream

Homemade shaving cream is quick and easy to make with coconut oil, shea butter, and another oil.  Add essential oils to personalize your shaving cream scent! Last week my husband informed that he was almost out of shaving cream.  Most of the beauty and bath supplies I purchase are organic or natural so they aren't cheap.  I asked my husband if he'd be willing to try a homemade shaving cream and he agreed.  I was pretty sure that I had all the ingredients I needed from making homemade lip balm. After doing some research I chose to use the Homemade Shaving Cream from Little House Living as my guide.  If you are looking for DIY anything - Merissa has you covered! She even has great explanations on what kind of shea butter and coconut oil to purchase for your DIY projects. I did make a few minor adjustment's to Merissa's "recipe."  I knew I wanted to add essential oils to the shaving cream.  My husband loves rosemary peppermint scents mixed together and I really wanted to ... Kool Aid Play Dough

Kool Aid play dough is a quick and easy way to make homemade play dough! Pick your favorite Kool Aid flavors, add a few pantry staples and you'll have fresh, fruity play dough.   There are a lot of homemade play dough recipes on the internet and I'm pretty sure I've tried, and failed, them all.  My poor kids. They get so excited to make play dough and then it flops. My friend, Sarah, posted this recipe on her blog last year and for some reason I recently decided I wanted to try it.   Sarah made a batch last Christmas and put it in her kids' stockings -- brilliant!  Anyway, Sarah is pretty crafty and I trust that if it worked for her, it works, so I we went for it. Thank goodness, it worked!  This is so much easier to do with kids than the kind you cook on the stove.  I love the vibrant colors the Kool Aid gave the dough, too.  I just used the store brand powdered drink mix since it was half the price of actual Kool Aid.   I can't vouch for how long this will last ...
