    • LOL! Yes, absolutely. Practice makes perfect and don’t ever be afraid to frog it and start over! That’s my favorite part about knitting — I can always just rip it back.

  32. I visited the shop and my choice was easy. My first grandbaby is expected early next year so a stocking kit would be perfect. I would choose Christmas Argyle or Snowstorm. Beautiful!

  57. My grandmother tried to teach me to knit when I was very young but I was unable to figure it out. About four years ago I picked up The Knitter’s Handbook b y Debbie Stoller and taught myself. Since then I’ve made mittens, hats, a baby doll, washcloths and socks as well as various flat knitted projects. I have not yet tried Fair Isle but would love to get the kit for some Ivy mittens in green for my son.

  59. I taught myself to knit the first year I was married. I made a fisherman knit sweater for my husband. Looking back on it, it probably wasn’t the wisest choice for a first project, but I did complete it!!
