Hearty Hot Cocoa

The other night on Facebook I was debating whether to enjoy a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate.  My friend highly recommended Heavenly Homemaker’s Chocolate Soother recipe.  In perusing the recipe (and reading the comments on it), it looked like it would be pretty thick with four egg yolks and two tablespoons of arrowroot powder (which is an all natural alternative to corn starch).  That’s almost pudding thick!  So I adjusted the recipe to be less thick and made it for breakfast the next morning.  Oh my, oh my! This is a cup of warm deliciousness.  Plus it’s nice and thick and adds a tad of protein (from the eggs) to make for a good hearty drink.  This is a serious cup of hot cocoa.  I don’t really like the vanilla in it so I’m making it optional.
