When I was in high school I worked at a restaurant and every July we celebrated Christmas in July! I’d go home every night for two weeks humming Christmas carols. I loved every single minute of it!

Because my husband and his ex wife switch off who has their 4 kids for Christmas day, we tweaked our Christmas celebration so that all 10 kids could be together. The years that my husband has his 4 from the previous marriage on Christmas day, we celebrate on Christmas, on the years that we have them for Christmas Eve, Santa comes a day early and we do the whole 9 yards on Christmas Eve. That way, we all get to have Christmas together no matter what year it is!

We started a White Elephant giveaway a few years ago for Christmas. There’s this plastic clock necklace that has made it into the giveaway every year now! It’s almost like people want to get it.
